RAs (Royal Ambassadors)
The RA’s are boys ages Kindergarten to 5th Grade. The RA’s at Glenwood Baptist Church meet every Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m (except the 4th Sunday when C.A.R.E. Ministry meets). Our Royal Ambassadors get excited about doing missions and learning about missions through hands-on projects, games and sports, and mentoring from leaders who help these young boys to grow spiritually.
The RA Motto: “We are Ambassadors for Christ!” This not only gives this organization its name, but it also gives the boys and the leaders a lifestyle goal. This motto is taken directly from the Scripture found in 2 Corinthians 5:20.
The RA Pledge: As a Royal Ambassador I will do my best to become a well-informed responsible follower of Christ; to have a Christ-like concern for other people; to learn how to carry the message of Christ around the world; to work with others in sharing Christ and to keep myself healthy and clean in mind and body.”
The RA Scripture Passage: (2 Corinthians 5:17-20) describes the purpose of our Royal Ambassadors here at Glenwood. “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come. Now everything is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed the message of reconciliation to us. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ; certain that God is appealing through us, we plead on Christ’s behalf, ‘Be reconciled to God.’” (2 Corinthians 5:17-20, HCSB)
Our Royal Ambassadors would love to see you bring your boy/boys to learn how they too can be an ambassador for Christ!
